The George 4th was built by William White at Canal Side, Ulverston. She was a two-masted schooner, launched in January 1873.
The George 4th was berthed at Saltney on Census night
in April 1881, and and only one crewman was listed as being aboard:

immediately upon her launch, and remained with this Millom fleet until
her loss on the 15th March 1901.
