The Agnes Porter was a two-masted schooner built by Wray at Burton
Stather. She was launched the 2nd November 1864, one of four vessels built
by the shipyard that year for Barrow shipowners James Fisher and
Sons. The Agnes Porter was owned by Fishers for her whole career,
until posted missing on the 25th February 1875, presumed lost with seven
crew, on a voyage from Shoreham to Ellesmere with 270 tons flints.
