Annie Fisher

The Annie Fisher was a brig, owned for her brief career by James Fisher & Son, of Barrow. She was built by Duncan at Garmouth and launched in December 1865, a few months after the Ann Bradshaw. On a voyage from Newport for Montreal with a cargo of steel rails, under the command of Capt.Leslie, the brig developed a leak and was abandoned in a sinking condition on the 20th May 1866. The crew of twelve were taken off by the Hamburg American screw steamer Borussia, eight days out from New York, bound for Hamburg.
