Elizabeth Anne

The Elizabeth Anne was a two-masted schooner built at the Barrow, Hindpool shipyard of  Rawlinson & Reay. She was launched in 1858 and was originally part of the fleet of Joseph Rawlinson. In 1875 the schooner was acquired by the Barrow shipowner James Fisher when Rawlinson sold his fleet, but the schooner only survived for two years.

On the 19th February 1877 the Elizabeth Anne foundered off Amlwch, island of Anglesey, with the loss of five of the eight people aboard. She had been on passage from Barrow to Caernarvon with a cargo of 200 tons of steel rails.
