Harry Russell

The Harry Russell was a two-masted schooner built by Robert Reay at the Rawlinson & Reay shipyard at Hindpool, Barrow. She was launched in 1863 and, together with her sister ship, the Betty Russell, was originally part of the Rawlinson fleet. Both schooners later came under the ownership of Barrow shipowner James Fisher. 

The Harry Russell was berthed at Milford Haven on Census night in April 1881, the master being named as Capt.William Bond. 

The Harry Russell was wrecked on the 2nd March 1902 at St.Ann's Head, Skokholm Island, Pembrokeshire. She was carrying a coal cargo from Runcorn to Exeter, and all five crew, including Capt. J.Lloyd, were lost.
