The schooner Jane was built in 1850 at Winsford, Cheshire. She was owned by Joseph Rawlinson in 1855 and was bought by James Fisher from his fellow Barrow shipowner  in 1872. The Jane was owned by Fisher until her loss in October 1881. The Jane went missing whilst on passage from Connah's Quay to Belfast with a cargo of bricks (19th Oct. 1881).
