The schooner JTS was built by Watson at Sunderland in November 1862 and was owned by the Barrow shipping firm of James Fisher & Sons for her whole career. Her commander is named as Capt.Iddon in the Barrow Times shipping intelligence columns, from 1877 to 1879.

The JTS, along with the Ulverston-built schooner Warsash, was lost in a fire that swept through Glasgow Docks on the 18th June 1914.
