The Margaret was a two-masted schooner built at Dumbarton in 1848. She was owned by Barrow's James Fisher from 1866 until her loss in 1870.

The Margaret foundered off the Nelson Buoy in the River Mersey on the morning of the 1st July 1870. She was bound from Barrow to Ellesmere. The crew were picked up and landed at Lytham.
