Margaret Porter
Official Number
18226

The Margaret Porter was a two-masted schooner built at Glasson Dock, Lancaster in 1855, at a cost of £2080. She has been said to be very similar to the Gauntlet, Express and Kate, and was probably built from the same shipbuilder's model. She was owned by James Fisher of Barrow for most of her life, and she went missing in January 1871 on a voyage from Strangford Lough, Ireland.
