The Agnes was a schooner built at the Petty & Postlethwaite shipyard at Ulverston in May 1844. She was owned at one time by Richard Roper of Ulverston.

The Agnes was lost on the 9th June 1852 at Milford, according to the Lancaster Shipping Register. Source 2 gives more details, and states that the vessel was lost on the 11th June. The Agnes was bound from Newport to Liverpool and was wrecked on Grassholm Island, sinking in deep water. The crew were rescued by the James, of Liverpool, to where they were taken.
