Eskham
Official Number
1797

The Eskham was a sloop built at the Petty & Postlethwaite shipyard at Ulverston in April 1847.

The Eskham was owned by J.H.Barrow of Ulverston when she was lost on the 13th February 1874. She was carrying a cargo of sand from Liverpool to Barrow, but after meeting heavy seas and a SW Force 7 wind, she shipped more water than her pumps could deal with (it was thought they had been blocked by the sand cargo). The crew of two were rescued by another vessel before the Eskham foundered, 2 miles W of Fleetwood.
