The Raker was a two-masted schooner built by Petty & Postlethwaite at Ulverston in March 1838. She was owned in 1861 by John Preston, described as a ship's carpenter, but was sold to John Bell and John Harrison of Ulverston in 1862.

The Raker was  wrecked off Piel Island, Barrow-in-Furness, in 1867.
