The Star was a barque built at Ulverston by G.S.Petty & Co. in 1826. On her third voyage, under the command of Captain John Atkinson, and carrying a timber cargo, the Star was wrecked at Prince Edward Island in November 1827, her hull being sold to the highest bidder. The crew were saved.
