Orleana
Official Number
none

The Orleana was a full-rigged ship built in the Isle of Man in 1835. She seems to have started her career in the trade to Calcutta, then moved into the emigrant trade to Australia.

From the Times, Weds. 1st January 1840 page 1 (Advertisement) :

" FOR SOUTH AUSTRALIA, under engagement to Her Majesty's Colonisation Commissioners, the beautiful and well-known passenger ship Orleana, A1, 649 tons register, coppered and copper fastened, Alexander Cameron, Commander; lying in the St.Katherine Dock. This splendid ship has a spacious poop and other accommodation for passengers."
The vessel had disappeared from the shipping registers by 1856.
