Braganza

The Braganza was a full-rigged ship built by Caleb Smith & Co. at Skerton, Lancaster. She was launched on the 30th January 1808 and was intended for the Brazilian trade under the command of Capt.Macfarlane. Her first voyage was from Liverpool to Barbadoes, and was followed by others to Demerara. In August 1811 she was reported ashore at Antigua after a gale. She continued trading to the West Indies from Liverpool until about 1822, when she went into the New Orleans trade.

The Braganza disappeared from Lloyd's Register after 1830.
