The Coronation was built at the shipyard of Thomas Worthington and Company, at Skerton, near Lancaster. She was a brig of 246 tons, and was launched on 30th June 1821, a couple of weeks before the coronation of George 4th. She does not appear in Lloyd's Register, so may have been registered under a different name.
