Dallam Tower

The Dallam Tower was a brig built in about 1758, probably at Milnthorpe.

The Lancaster Gazette, 8th February 1823;

" Extract of a letter from Donaghadee, dated Jan.23 - 'Yesterday the brig Dallam Tower, Coulthard master, of and for Whitehaven, mistaking a blacksmith's light for the light on this pier, ran aground on a place called James' point near the Millisles, where she went to pieces the following day. Fortunately they had not any cargo on board, only ballast, from Dublin."

  3. Wreck also reported in Lloyd's List, Friday, 7th February 1823, which states that the Dallam Tower left Dublin on the 19th and was wrecked the following day.
