The Europa was a 305 ton
ship
built at Lancaster in March 1800. She was owned by Edward Salisbury, of
Lancaster, and was commanded by Capt.Matthew Bradley. The Europa was lost at Morte Stone, in
the Bristol Channel, on the 22nd February 1802.
From Lloyd's List 2nd March 1802, page 1;
“ The Europa,
Bradley, from Bristol to Martinico, was lost in the Bristol Channel
22nd February; Captain and six men drowned.”
