George

The George was a full-rigged ship built at Lancaster in 1787. In February 1795 she was lost with all hands near Donaghadee, Co.Down. The ship was on passage from Whitehaven to the West Indies, under the command of Capt.Birkett. She was owned at the time of her loss by Dixon & Co., of Lancaster.
