The Lancaster was a full-rigged ship, 353 tons, built by Messrs.Brockbank & Nephew and launched at Lancaster on Wednesday, 3rd February 1813. She had been built for Burrow & Nottage, to operate in the West Indies trade under the command of Capt.William Dennison.

On the 14th March 1835 the Lancaster was wrecked on St.Patrick's Causeway, Barmouth, when outward bound from Liverpool to Africa with a general cargo.
