Launch report from the Cumberland Pacquet newspaper, 20th September 1825:

" On Monday last, a fine new brig was launched from the building yardof Messsrs.Worthington and Co., at Skerton, near Lancaster, called the Lord Oriel, burthen 122 tons."

The Lord Oriel was lost on passage from Newport to Jersey, being last seen in Penarth Roads on the 2nd August 1844. She was owned and registered at Falmouth.
