The Anne was a lugger built by J.Teare at Peel, Isle of Man, in 1875. In October 1884 the vessel was being sailed in ballast from Lerwick to her home port of Peel. Due to stress of weather she put into Port Erin, and whilst leaving there on the evening of Monday 13th October she missed stays and was wrecked on the Port Erin breakwater. The crew saved themselves in their small boat. At the time of her loss she was owned by her master, Capt.J.Gorry, and her builder, Mr.J.Teare.
