Taglioni |
Official Number
572
|
The Taglioni was a barque built at Ramsey, Isle of Man, in 1840. As with the Maid of Mona, built the preceding year, she was bought by the London,
Newcastle and South
Shields Shipping Co. In 1867 she was owned in South Shields, but she
disappeared from British records in the following year, possibly sold
to German owners. A Hamburg-owned barque named Taglioni was wrecked and went to pieces on the 9th October 1870, at Scaw Reef. She was bound from Wyburg for Hartlepool.
