Agnes

The Agnes was a fishing sloop, built in 1879 and owned at the time of her loss by R Kendall, of Maryport. The Agnes was lost with her two man crew in a force 9 Northerly gale on the 1st May 1888, foundering in the Solway Firth whilst fishing.  The master was R.Kendall (see Source 1). Thomas Armstrong was also lost with the vessel (see Source 2).
