The Collins was a brig built at Maryport by Thomas Ashbridge
in 1818.
The Collins, Capt.Smart, was lost on the 24th November 1835 at
Dunmore, Co.Waterford, Ireland. She was bound from Quebec for Liverpool
with a timber cargo. She was wrecked near Dunmore pier whilst seeking the
shelter of the harbour. All the crew were saved by ropes from the shore. At the time of the loss the Collins was
registered at Maryport and was owned by Ashbridge.
