was registered at Carlisle in 1822, then at Dumfries in 1826 and from November
1851 at Glasgow.

Shipping Register - gives tonnage as 53 tons in 1841.

1857 Mercantile Navy List lists three vessels named Irishman, two
of which were steamships (registered at Drogheda and Glasgow). A 53 ton
sailing ship, ON 8738 registered at Belfast, is possibly the Maryport-built
vessel.
