The Paragon was a brig built by John Peat in 1829 at Maryport. In 1840 she was registered at Maryport, owned by Edward Wilkinson, her master. In 1865, still registered at Maryport, she was described as a schooner, owned by her master, J.Wilkinson, of Flimby.

Another brig named Paragon was registered at Maryport until her loss in 1838.
