The Sarah Bragg was a schooner built at Maryport by Isaac Middleton, launched in April 1848.

Launch report from the "Cumberland Pacquet and Ware's Whitehaven Advertiser", Tuesday, 18th April 1848, page 3 :

" A handsome new vessel, 94 tons New Measurement, and classed nine years A1 at Lloyd's, was last week launched from the building-yard of Mr.Middleton, at Maryport. She was named the Sarah Bragg, was built for Capt.Middleton, of this port, and is intended for the Baltic and Mediterranean trade. "
Source 3 reports that the first voyage of the Sarah Bragg was to Messina, Sicily, with a cargo of rails.

In December 1892 the Sarah Bragg sailed from Whitehaven for Douglas, Isle of Man. She was last seen off St.Bees Head, in calm conditions. The schooner was lost, believed foundered, with four crew and one passenger (see Souce 3).
