The Affleck was a brig built by Thos. & Jno. Brocklebank at Bransty, Whitehaven, launched on the18th February 1825. She was bought by Capt.J.Fell of Whitehaven and traded to the Caribbean, her master in 1840 being Capt.Isaac Chester. In 1841 she was wrecked off Florida whilst voyaging from Demerara to London.
