The Bransty was built by Thos. & Jno. Brocklebank at Bransty, Whitehaven, launched 19th September 1811.

The Bransty, Capt.Edmondson, was wrecked on the 9th January 1819 whilst on passage from Whitehaven to Newport. She was driven onto the rocks between the Skerries and Rush, Ireland, and became a total loss.

Two other vessels of this name were built by the Brocklebanks, one in 1824 and another in 1832.
