The Brunskill was a full-rigged ship built at Whitehaven by William Bowes & Son, and launched on the 8th March 1796. She was lost off Cape Hatteras in 1802.

From Lloyd's List 16th April 1802;

“The Brunskill, Bacon, from Whitehaven to Virginia, is lost off Cape Halleras – crew saved.”
