The Favourite was a brig built at Whitehaven in about 1799.

The Favourite, Capt.Henry Richardson, was dismasted and went ashore at Barlocco Bay, about ten miles E of Kirkcudbright, on the morning of Sunday, 26th October 1806. Her crew were all saved. The Favourite had sailed from Jamaica in convoy with the Neptune and the Atlas. All three vessels had attempted to seek shelter from a terrific storm at first Lancaster, then Whitehaven. The Neptune was saved but the Atlas was lost with all but one of her crew.
