The Sherwood was an iron ship built by the Whitehaven
Shipbuilding Company at Whitehaven, launched on the 2nd August 1883.
She was owned by Sprott & Co. of Liverpool until 1890, when she was
sold to owners in Hamburg and renamed Louise (see Source 1).
