From the Cumberland Pacquet newspaper, Thursday, 13th September, 1888, page 5 :

SHIP LAUNCH - On Saturday, the new vessel Aldebaran was successfully launched from the yard of Messrs.Williamson and Sons, Workington. The christening ceremony was performed by Miss Williamson. The launch was an easy and graceful one, and the vessel was afterwards securely berthed in the harbour, where her rigging will be completed.
