From the Cumberland Pacquet newspaper, Tuesday, 24th August 1852, page 3 :

"On Thursday last the19th instant, a fine barque of 344 tons O.M. and 389 N.M., was launched from the ship-building yard of Messrs.Peile, Scott & Co. at Workington, built for John Anderson, Esq., of this place, under special inspection, to class A1 thirteen years at Lloyd's. She was named Ann Lawson, and the head is a full female figure in a crouching position, executed by Brooker of  Maryport. She will be commanded by Capt.Robinson."
From the Daily News, 29th August 1861;
" CASUALTIES - Ann Lawson, Capt.Wise, sailed from Cobija, about the 6th February, for Liverpool, and has not since been heard of."
