Cathaya

The Cathaya was a full-rigged ship built by Charles Lamport at Workington in December 1863. By 1895 she was still registered at Liverpool, but had been reduced to barque rig some time after 1890. The vessel was wrecked and totally lost at Gurupi in August 1898. The crew were saved.

Charles Lamport had built a previous ship named Cathaya (ON 25850) in 1850.
