Chalgrove

The Chalgrove was a 509 ton barque built by Charles Lamport at Workington in December 1862. She was the last of six ships to be built for Lamport & Holt at Workington, five of which had been built by Lamport (the other four were the Cathaya, Blencathra, Coniston and Glaramara).

In 1885 the Chalgrove was registered at London, and by 1890 was owned by Bevan, Evans & Co. In 1895 the Chalgrove was owned at Lillesand, Norway, by H.J.Larsen.
