The England's Queen was a barque, built at the shipyard of Messrs.Peile,
Scott & Co. at Workington. She was launched on Tuesday, 24th May, 1842, the
birthday of Queen Victoria. She was destined to be employed in the China
trade, according to the report of her launch in the local newspaper.
The England's Queen
was possibly damaged on a voyage to Valparaiso. A Liverpool newspaper
reported that on the 14th July 1854 she was sold there by auction for
$13,250 cash.
