From the Cumberland Pacquet newspaper, Tuesday, 12th April 1842, page 3 :

"On Saturday last a fine new full-rigged barque was launched from the building-yard of Messrs.R.&.W.Williamson & Co., at Harrington, called the Jemima, register measurement 268 tons old, 274 new, and coppered and copper-fastenened to the bends. Her model, fastenings, and workmanship far surpass those of any vessel launched at the same port for many years past, and indeed might challenge comparison with any vessel of the same class in the kingdom. She has been faithfully built of excellent materials, and her construction throughout reflects great credit on the managers of the Harrington Ship-building Company."
