Launch report from the Belfast News-Letter, Friday, 15th October, 1886;
" LAUNCH AT CARRICKFERGUS - At high water yesterday a three-masted schooner was launched from the Carrickfergus Shipyard (Mr.Rodgers). The vessel is for Messrs.James Fisher and Sons, of Barrow-in-Furness, and she has been built to the highest class at Lloyd's. She is entirely constructed of steel, and portions of her masts and spars are of the same material. The dimensions are: Length, 134 feet; breadth, 24 feet; and depth, 10 feet. The ceremony of christening was gracefully performed by Miss Maggie Johnston, of Knockagh House, who named the vessel the Annie Park as she glided down the launching ways. Captain Watkinson was present on behalf of the owners. The Annie Park is a handsome model. She will be ready for sea in a few days, and will be principally engaged in the South American trade."The Annie Park was the eighth of twelve three-masted schooners built for James Fisher & Sons by Paul Rodgers, a series that started with the Fanny Crossfield in 1880 and finished with the Ford Fisher in 1892.
The Annie Park was lost on New Year's Day 1906 off St.Govan's Head, Pembrokeshire. She was carrying whiting from London to Lancaster, and was stranded in a Force 9 gale. The master and three crew were drowned, but two others were saved by coastguard George Calder, who was awarded the Board of Trade silver medal for descending the cliffs to effect the rescue.
